ST. LUKE'S HOMECOMING 2023

Wow, so much Wildcat spirit last week! Our week started with themed days on both campuses: Decades Day, Pajama Day, Favorite Childhood Toy, Anything But a Backpack, White Lies, and Bikers/Surfers!

The preschool classes celebrated with their very own pep rally complete with photos with Wilkes.

The cheerleaders hosted a great pep rally and crowned Alex Prieto, "Mr. Wildcat 2023!"

After the pep rally, we had LOTS of friendly competitions happening all around campus!

The last event of the day before school was dismissed is a crowd favorite ....the Powder Puff Game!

It was so much fun and great seeing our students having the BEST time!

St. Luke's Homecoming Queen 2023 is Audrey Smith! Audrey was crowned by last year's queen, Kennedy Johnson. Congratulations to Audrey & her court: Ashlyn Turner, Lauren Watson, Evelyn Cummings, Caitlyn Gill, Cami Abel, Sophie Bitzer, Emma Hattaway, and Sadie Oberkirch!

St. Luke's also honored our seniors who participated in a Fall sport, band and the Azalea Trail Maids.

During halftime, Jeremiah Jackson's baseball jersey was retired. His former coaches joined him, Tim Becker, Josh Eddington and Mike Szymanski. Jeremiah graduated from St. Luke’s in 2018, where he amassed an incredible list of accomplishments! While at St. Luke’s:

He was a six-year starter for the varsity baseball team, member of 2015 Team USA Baseball, five-time All Coastal Alabama, four-time Alabama All-State, two-time Alabama 2A hitter of the year, three-time Alabama Super All-State, two-time Alabama 2A Player of the Year, Perfect Game All-American, two-time Under Armour/Baseball Factory, All American Rawlings 2017, National "Finest in the Field" selection, American Family, All-USA Alabama Baseball Player of the Year, Baseball America All American, two-time Max Preps High School All American, two-time Collegiate High School Baseball All American, Rawlings/ABCA All American, Alabama Sports Writer Association 2018 "Mr. Baseball,"Rawlings/Perfect Game 2018 National High School Player of the Year, and many others.

In 2018 Jeremiah was selected as the 57th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft, by the Los Angeles Angels, and was named Los Angeles’s 2019 Minor League Player of the Year. Jeremiah is now a member of the New York Mets double A affiliate, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, where he will continue adding accomplishments to his list.

We had a great turnout for our 2023 Alumni Photograph.

It was great seeing our past Wildcats back at "home." Please visit often!

Last, but not least.....the dance! We see the adults had just as much fun as the students!

The word going around is that the dance was GREAT!

Thanks to EVERYONE that made Homecoming 2023 happen! It takes many, many people to pull off a week as BIG and as fun as St. Luke's does it! We hope many wonderful memories were made. We love our Wildcats!
