Chicago Theatre Week 2025 Dates Announced!

The 13th Annual Chicago Theatre Week will take place Thursday, February 6 – Sunday, February 16, 2025. This community-wide effort celebrates the rich tradition of theatre-going in Chicago and seeks to bring new audiences into your theatres.

The Show Submission form will be available beginning October 28. Please watch out for an email from the League’s Marketing Director, Hayley Stover, for next steps!

It’s Theater Season!

In partnership with DCASE and Choose Chicago, the League is bringing back the "Theater Season" fall advertising campaign. The Theater Season campaign is a collaboration between the League of Chicago Theatres, DCASE, and Choose Chicago in an effort to boost live performance attendance during the fall when many theatres are looking to boost sales and draw in new audiences. The Theater Season campaign will run from mid October through the end of 2024.

ANNOUNCING THE NEW AND REVISED BLACK THEATRE ALLIANCE AWARDS (BTAA) - Please note this is a Date, Time, and Location change.

To formally announce (and launch) the new and revised BTAA, there will be a Meet and Greet Reception on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Black Ensemble Theatre. If you can attend, please email info@btaachicago.com no later than Monday, October 28, 2024, at 5PM with your name, cell phone number, and email address.

Chicago Performing Arts Fringe Festival is is a not-for-profit corporation formed for the purpose of creating a “fringe” type festival in Chicago. CPAFF is looking for board members and volunteers to make this a premier ongoing event in the City of Chicago. The goal is to mount the first festival in July of 2026.
