Avoid Cleaning on Hot, Sunny Days
When it comes to window cleaning, the timing can make all the difference. While the allure of a sunny day might tempt you to start cleaning, it's best to hold off on those hot and scorching afternoons. The intense heat can cause your cleaning solution to dry too rapidly on the glass, leading to stubborn streaks and spots that are difficult to remove.
Instead, choose cooler and cloudier days for your window-cleaning endeavors. The milder weather will ensure that your cleaning solution has ample time to work its magic, leaving you with sparkling windows and unobstructed views.

Sunshine has been cleaning airports since 1986 when we began our relationship with the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, a client that remains on our roster today. As this major airport has expanded over the years, so has our breadth of services. In the early days, the airport had two small terminal buildings used by fewer than 8 million passengers. By 2019, the airport hosted more than 36 million passengers.
Today, our team, which is nearly 400 strong, takes care of four large terminal buildings, spanning more than 2 million square feet. In addition to cleaning and disinfecting, we provide janitorial, window and pressure cleaning, escalator cleaning, and terrazzo floor care services.

According to a 2019 report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the overall turnover rate for the janitorial and building cleaning services industry was approximately 200%, an issue that has only worsened since the pandemic. At Sunshine, however, many employees boast long tenures.
According to Sunshine CEO Laura Coenen, the overall Sunshine 2023 turnover rate is only 18.98%. To date, I78 Sunshine staffers have been with the company 20 years or more, nine of those with 30 or more years of work history at Sunshine. 117 employees have worked at the company between 9 and 19 years.
