ZOOM WITH DAHRU AND JOYCE
Dahru and Joyce V., who minister in Northeast India with the Northeast India Health and Education Fund (NIHEF), along with the board of directors for their ministry, invite you to join them on Saturday, April 15 at 10am EST for an informational meeting on Zoom. The V. family will be sharing updates about their ministry and about the medical clinic construction, which is nearing its final stages. NIHEF is seeking to raise $25,000 in order to finish the second floor of the building, including windows, doors, electrical wiring, painting, and acquiring some furnishings. Currently, the facility does provide a rudimentary venue for health education training and local church functions. However, once fully constructed, the outpatient medical clinic will be opened, and further health education will be provided. (Medical equipment and supplies will still be needed but currently the focus is to make sure the facility is ready for full operation.) RSVP to George Payne, chair of the NIHEF board, if you'll be attending or if you have any questions. Click here to link to the Zoom gathering on April 15th, and the passcode will be 432362.

During 2023, the HBIC Missions Ministry Team is highlighting a different Missionary of the Month, helping the congregation to know more about their work and inviting special prayer for them throughout the month.
| |
For the month of March, please join in praying especially for Jeff and Katie Luehm and their family as they serve in El Salvador.
Jeff is working with Horizon: Empower the Orphaned, a ministry focused on strengthening families, building community resiliency, and creating sustainable social enterprises in Guatemala, Honduras, and Kenya. His role is as Child Development Technical Specialist on their global staff. Katie shares her gifts and knowledge of trauma-informed care as she trains and consults with Project Red, a Salvadoran ministry working in family strengthening and in child advocacy.
Click here to access a number of specific prayer requests for Jeff and Katie, along with their contact info to send a note of encouragement.

YOUTH AUCTION
It's the time of year when our youth are beginning preparations toward their summer mission trip! This year, we are traveling to Belize to experience God in a third world context and to support and learn from the local church community there! Our primary support for our mission trip comes from our annual Youth Auction.
This year our auction will be Friday, April 21 and we welcome all of our congregation to consider items/services to be donated. Some favorite items historically given have been baked goods, services rendered (making a meal, babysitting, etc.) and household items. Pastor Brie will be collecting items through April 9 (for baked items or services, please let Pastor Brie know the intended donation by that date). Look for blue donation slips to hand in with your item/s. Feel free to contact Pastor Brie with any questions. Thank you so much for your support as we look forward to a favorite church family event!
