Enjoy a Fabulous Meal and Support the RHS PTSA! |
The PTSA has partnered with Heritage Restaurant in Woodinville for a fundraising dinner on Wednesday, October 30. The RHS PTSA will receive a portion of food sales from that day, either lunch or dinner when you mention the RHS PTSA.
There are a few ways to support us:
- Dine in - enjoy a great meal from their menu in the restaurant, let them know you are part of the RHS fundraiser.
- Take out - order from the regular menu and get the food to go, just mention RHS PTSA when ordering.
- Preorder and pickup - preorder the special family meal of Stuffed Chicken for take-out. Order by Monday, October 28 - pickup on Wednesday, October 30. Mention you are part of the RHS fundraiser.
It is a great way to support a local restaurant and support the PTSA’s Grad Night Celebration at the same time, all while eating fantastic food.

LWSD Levy Town Hall Meetings |
The health and safety of our students and staff is one of our top priorities. When students and staff are in a building that supports their physical needs, they can focus on learning. The Nov. 5 Capital Construction Levy will rebuild and enlarge our oldest facilities to ensure they meet the needs of our students and staff by:
- Adding school safety enhancements like secure entryways
- Updating heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) systems
- Modernizing and adding restrooms
Please join LWSD Superintendent Dr. Jon Holmen and Associate Superintendent of Business and Support Services Barbara Posthumus for one of their online town hall events about the 2024 Building Excellence Capital Construction Levy. Each town hall meeting will offer an opportunity for question/answer sessions. There are still two events left.
Thursday, October 24, 12–1pm, Meeting link.
Tuesday, October 29, 6–7pm, Meeting link.
See this flyer for additional information. Learn more about the levy here.

Help Us Understand the Issues that Matter to You |
The RHS PTSA wants to hear from you! As part of our commitment of advocating for our community, we're conducting a survey to better understand the current issues that matter most to you.
Your feedback is crucial and we will bring your concerns to the Legislative Assembly next weekend. Whether it's climate change, education funding, mental health services, or any other topic, we want to know what's on your mind. Attendees will vote to set our legislative platform and top 5 focus areas for the next 2 years.
Please take a few minutes to complete our survey by Thursday, October 24. Thank you for your time and input. Your voice can make a difference!

COLLEGE CAREER & COUNSELLING | |
The RHS Annual College Fair is open to all students and families in the Lake Washington School District community. This fair, which will include college reps from over 50 institutions and some military reps, will take place on Monday, October 21 from 5:30-7:30pm in the school cafeteria. We will also offer a FAFSA/WASFA Info Session in the Library and the UW Info Session in the College and Career Center from 6:30-7:30pm as part of the college fair night. Sign-ups are not needed but plan your time accordingly.
Prior to the fair, it may be helpful to consider the following factors in choosing which colleges you are interested in:
The size of the institution you want to attend.
The major(s) you wish to study.
Do you want to attend a two-year, four-year, single-sex, or religious-affiliated school?
Do you want to participate in athletics, clubs, fraternities, sororities, or special programs such as study abroad or cooperative education?
Research the colleges attending the fair to determine if they meet your search criteria and your best fit.
A list of the colleges will be present to meet with you.
Check for updates to the list under the RHS CCC Events Calendar on the College and Career Center website.
If you have any questions about the event, please email Ms. Wu at rwu@lwsd.org for assistance.
