DULLES FARMS COMMUNITY
UPDATES & REMINDERS
Halloween is Tuesday, October 31st

Loudoun County does not set a specific time for trick-or-treat on October 31st, but usually trick-or-treating starts around dusk on Halloween.
The Dulles Farms Community guidance on Halloween is consistent with the information posted by Loudoun County.

Each family within our community should evaluate their own situation to determine what is best regarding partaking in festivities during Halloween. As a reminder we recommend that homes that opt NOT to participate in typical Halloween festivities, please keep their porch lights off as a sign they are not partaking.

2023 2nd Annual Meeting Notice
Online Voting opened on Friday, October 20th

Dear Dulles Farms Homeowner:

As stated in the initial notice dated September 11, 2023, the Association will hold the Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 9th at 6:30pm as required and in accordance with the Dulles Farms Community Association’s Bylaws, Article 2, Section 2.1. Annual Meetings and Administrative Resolution No. 21-02 Procedures Relating to Virtual Annual Meetings.

Please be advised that the Annual Meeting of the Association will be held virtually again this year via Webex. The quorum requirement is 5% of all members in good standing which equates to approximately 87 homes, so your attendance either virtually or by proxy is IMPORTANT. Without achieving a quorum, the Association will not be able to conduct official business, which includes completing the election of two members to the Board of Directors.

The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to elect two new board members as the terms currently held by Tom Ward and June Roman will be expiring. The two seats up for election will both serve for terms of 3 years. Candidate Statements for those who expressed an interest in serving on the Board of Directors can be found on pages 7 & 8 of the recent Newsletter, or by clicking the links below.

For more information about the Annual Meeting scheduled for November 9th at 6:30 PM via Webex, click here.

This year one member of each household has the option to vote electronically using a third-party vendor, VOTE HOA Now. This is a safe and efficient method to increase participation while saving both time and money. Each property with an email on file should have received an email invitation to vote from the Dulles Farms voting site. Please be sure to add this email address (dullesfarms@ivotehoa.com) to your safe sender list/address book so you can participate in the vote.

Voting online is easy and quick! You will have three steps!
1. Receive the email and click the link to go to the voting site
2. Register for the vote by entering your name, email, and creating a password
3. Make your choices on the ballot and submit

When your vote is complete, you will receive both an onscreen confirmation and an email that the vote has been recorded. The entire process takes only a few minutes - less time than it did to read these instructions!

The deadline to submit your vote is by Noon on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.

If voting via Paper Proxy, it must be received at the management office located at 25185 Chafee Circle, Aldie, VA 20105 by Noon on Thursday, November 9th, 2023. For further assistance, please contact Jessica Salvatore at manager@dullesfarms.com.
