Getting Ready for Customer Delivery

Hello Girl Scout Family,


There are so many things to look forward to in February but none more delicious than GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!


Your family will be picking up cookies for your Girl Scout’s girl delivered orders soon. Here are some tips for you for happy customers:


If the customer has prepaid, put their cookies in a bag in case you need to leave their order. Be sure to leave a thank you with your info for reorders! Check out this fillable PDF business card template. You can also order some fun things like stickers from our online Square store.



If the customer needs to pay, you can take cash or check. On that check, have the customer make it out to Girl Scouts. The troop number, GSKSMO or GSUSA will also work. Be sure to take checks from people you know.


You can even take a credit card if your Girl Scout has the Smart Cookies app on her, or your, smartphone or tablet. Visit your app store and search Smart Cookies. Or you can visit Smart Cookies on your browser (Chrome is preferred.)

Make your experience the best:


  • When picking up cookies or turning in money, insist on a receipt. Your Troop’s Cookie Manager (TCM) is prepared with pre-printed receipts. Your copy should be yellow. Be sure to sign it legibly.


  • Manage your customer’s expectations: If you can’t deliver asap, let the customer know so they aren’t worried about their order.


  • Turn in the money you collect regularly to your TCM. Families are financially responsible for any product they take, even in the event of an unexpected situation.


 

  • Have a wonderful time! This is an experience you and your Girl Scout will remember for a lifetime. When she rocks that presentation in high school, you can remember how she got her start at a cookie booth!
