Summer at Sea

Pacific Swift

Excerpt from Trip 4 Log

"We launched dories and headed ashore to the spectacular Campania beaches, a place we have come to fondly refer to as "Hawaii North" because it feels and looks almost tropical. It felt good to stretch our legs after two days onboard. Lunch was brought ashore after a sand sculpture competition, which yielded some very impressive creations. After lunch some ventured on a short walk inland while some relaxed on the beach."

Pacific Grace

Excerpt from Trip 3 Log

"As we approached the Islands, around fifty miles out, we began to receive regular whale shows from the visiting Humpbacks, fly-bys from resident Tufted Puffins...even the special cameo appearance by shy Salmon Sharks searching for their next meal. There's always something to grab your attention on a passage such as this, even the water was colored differently from what we had been used to, being a lovely, mesmerizing shade of light aqua green."

Group Trip Opportunities

SALTS’ multi-day group trips in the spring and fall provide school groups the opportunity to work together while exploring the Salish Sea from Victoria, BC. Victoria Classic Boat Festival 2024

SALTS was honoured to participate in the Victoria Classic Boat Festival again this Labour Day weekend, and welcome over 500 guests on board to tour the Pacific Grace!

These public tours were a wonderful opportunity to share about SALTS with our community. Many new faces got excited about the prospect of sailing with us in the future, and many folks shared fond memories of their own experiences aboard SALTS ships.

Thank you to the Maritime Museum for hosting us and to the volunteers who made this event possible!

Thank You, Volunteers!

Thank you to all the volunteers who have given of their time, energy, and talents so far this year to help our programs run smoothly.

From the volunteers who helped host tours at the Classic Boat Festival for over 500 visitors, to those who help with shoreside projects, to those who spent part of their year mentoring young people on board our ships as volunteer crew - we are so grateful for each of you!
