Thanksgiving Safety Tips

The kitchen is the heart of the home, especially during the holidays. From testing family recipes to decorating cakes and cookies, everyone enjoys being part of the preparations. With the potential for extra cooks in the kitchen during the Thanksgiving holiday, the potential for distractions also increases. So keeping fire safety top of mind in the kitchen during this joyous but hectic time is important, especially when there’s a lot of activity and people at home. Night Work Scheduled for Water Supply Project

The Santa Fe Irrigation District is set to begin night work next Thursday, November 30th on Lomas Santa Fe near the El Viento and South Nardo Avenue intersection. This work will occur from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM and is set to conclude on December 1st. This project will connect critical water supply facilities within the SFID system and is part of the pipeline project being done near the Larrick Reservoir on Glenmont Avenue. Expect to see large equipment, lighting and hear increased noise coming from the equipment, drilling and back-up beepers. The contractor will make every effort to minimize impacts to surrounding residents. Residents who will have water service interrupted will be contacted individually by SFID staff.
