Often Tragedy Brings About Change, Unites Us
Every February 1st, I know a few things are in store over the next four weeks. My son, sister, and I will all turn another year older, some groundhog in Pennsylvania will tell the country whether winter is sticking around (and Floridians won’t care since it’s already 80 degrees), and it’s the time of year to celebrate both Black History Month and Engineers Week (E-Week occurring February 19-25).

2023 Professional Engineers Legislative Days
Laws passed by the Florida Legislature can have a direct impact on our industry. If you are concerned about issues that affect the engineering profession, you should attend this year's Professional Engineers Legislative Days. This event will offer you the opportunity to promote and defend key issues at the Capitol. You will have a chance to meet your Legislators, visit the Capitol, and network with your fellow engineers.

Online registration is available until March 10, 2023.
Join Our Weekly Legislative Update Calls
FES and ACEC Florida invite our members to participate in weekly Legislative Update calls via Microsoft Teams that will be held each Friday morning during the 2023 Legislative Session beginning March 10th, 2023, and concluding May 12th, 2023. These calls will be focused on the important developments that impact the engineering industry.

Invest in the Engineering Profession
To be competitive in an increasingly uncertain climate, it is critical that the members of FES and ACEC Florida participate in the political process through meaningful PAC engagement. Donors enjoy a host of benefits throughout the year, including access to special events, donor acknowledgment gifts, and recognition. Those interested in supporting our efforts to advance the goals of engineers and engineering firms may do so in the following ways:

2021-2022 ACEC Annual Report: Seizing Opportunity
Looking back on one year ago, much has changed. The economy has reopened. The engineering and design industry experienced its best year ever in 2021 with over $380 billion in revenues.

We’re busier than ever and with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill in the rearview mirror, we’re only going to get busier as states act to spend this historic investment in the built environment.

Opportunities abound across all market segments where our member firms operate, and firm executives are bullish on the future. It is now ACEC’s job to position the engineering and design industry to seize the opportunities that surround it.
