Ray-Pec Community,
The election results are in, and I want to thank all of you who voted in favor of Proposition RP-1. Proposition RP-1 passed with overwhelming support from our community. It is indeed a great time to be in the Ray-Pec School District!
Proposition RP-1 is a 50-cent tax rate transfer that will take place over three years. The transfer will provide the District with proceeds to improve compensation and benefits for all staff. This was identified as a top priority in the District’s Strategic Plan.
Also at the polls today, Ruth Johnson, Paul Coffman, and Ashley Jones were elected to serve three-year terms to the Ray-Pec School Board. Join me in congratulating them and thanking them in advance for their service to our school district. All three will be sworn into their terms at an April 17 board organization meeting.
A big thank you also goes out to the Citizens 4 RP committee, which was formed to provide additional information about the election. Their efforts to inform our community about the election were invaluable. Thank you for your time and effort!
