Registration for the 2025 Regional District Chair & CAO Forum is now open. The Forum will take place April 22 – 23 at the Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria, BC.

UBCM policy position on vacant land taxation 

Responding to a Federal invitation for engagement, UBCM submitted an overview of our policy regarding taxation of vacant lands. UBCM policies include requests for vacant land taxation to incentivize and fund development of affordable housing or shelters. Resolutions seek greater local authority through legislative support from the Province.

2025 Electoral Area Directors Forum 

The Electoral Area Directors Forum is coming up February 6-7. Program sessions include CCBF updates, Next Generation 911 and disaster recovery, RD legislative reform, and open microphone time. Registration is still open.
