Grad Night Celebration is a safe, drug and alcohol-free, all-night event held the night of graduation on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Graduates will enjoy a night of fun-filled activities, lots of food, and the opportunity to be with all their friends on one of the most memorable days of their lives!
Between Saturday, February 1 and Friday, February 28, register with early bird pricing. Prices go up on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Choose from Bumbleberry Pie, Cherry Pie, Granny Smith Apple Pie, or Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie! Each 9" pie is handmade and frozen to keep it fresh. And this year, we have a limited supply of Gluten/Dairy Free options, too! These pies are smaller but just as delicious.

Registration open for Spring Practice Digital SAT Test (Online or In-person)
These full-length practice tests, administered by Enhanced Prep, offer students the opportunity to practice test taking strategies and determine baseline scores prior to taking the official SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Scores are not reported to anyone other than the student.
Students with accommodation for time are welcome to take advantage of the online practice exam.

Join the Scholarship Committee! |
We're looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Scholarship Committee and help review submissions for our annual scholarship awards. As a member of the Scholarship Committee, you'll play a vital role in selecting deserving students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Your efforts will directly impact the futures of these talented young individuals by providing them with the financial support they need to pursue their dreams. Volunteers must be LWSD-approved and cannot be parents of senior students.

1. Attend WSPTA Focus Day on Monday, February 17
Join us at Focus Day in Olympia to advocate to close the funding gaps and ensure financial stability for schools and other vital issues that impact students around the state! During this week and key dates throughout the 2025 legislative session, WSPTA will send out Action Alerts to subscribed members, focused on the "Top 5" legislative issues, with tips for sending emails to legislators. Your voice matters! For example, you can help support all WA public schools by signing in PRO on 3 critical bills by this Monday, February 3!

Scholarships are Rolling in! | |
Find them in the College and Career Center website under the Scholarship Deadlines Calendar and on the Scholarship bulletin board. Be sure to check the requirements for each one and apply to as many as you are eligible for. Scholarships are stackable and they do not affect your financial aid. Here are a couple to share with you:
The Sea Mar Community Health Centers Scholarships are now open! Sea Mar will be awarding $1,000 scholarships to students who are of migrant or seasonal farm worker backgrounds. In addition to this, Sea Mar offers a $2,500 scholarship to students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, and perseverance. The money can be used to cover expenses while they’re enrolled in college such as tuition, food, housing, books, etc.! Please encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity. They can find the application at www.seamar.org/scholarships or under the Scholarship Calendar on the CCC website. The deadline is Tuesday, April 15.
Nellie Martin Carmen Scholarship awards promising high school students with financial need. The awards range from $500 to $2,000 a year and scholarships are renewable for four years of college. RHS can select two nominees to apply for the scholarship and requirements and instructions are under the Scholarship calendar’s Friday, February 21 listing. Check it out!

WANIC, the Washington Network for Innovative Careers, is a consortium of seven school districts in the region to the northeast of Seattle, which have been in partnership for over 20 years and share Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. As a state-approved interdistrict CTE consortium, WANIC's primary mission is to provide quality, diverse, and cost-effective career and technical education for all high school students through interdistrict cooperation.
WANIC Skill Center provides advanced level Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs based on rigorous academic and industry standards preparing students for career and college readiness. WANIC Skill Center programs are delivered through a system of branch campuses in seven participating districts. Member districts include Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Northshore, Riverview, and Snoqualmie Valley. The skill center programs provide dual credits opportunities (both high school and college credit) and/or lead to industry certifications. Priority enrollment period for Full Year 2025-26 programs will open on Tuesday, February 4 at 9am and close on Tuesday, April 15. Enrollment is by lottery and enrollment status will be emailed between Wednesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 30. After Tuesday, April 15, applications will only be accepted for programs with space available. Full year applications close on Tuesday, July 15 at 3pm. Students can visit the CCC or email Mrs. Wu at rwu@lwsd.org to get help regarding WANIC.
