NOMINATIONS FOR APC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

APC has an opportunity to add two people to the APC Board of Directors. In order to do that, however, APC needs to approve a suspension of the Bylaws since new Board members are required to be elected at the Annual Meeting, which was held in January.

The first nominee is Mr. Rob Roppel. Rob grew up in Jeffersontown, KY, a suburb of Louisville. "I started at the FBI in June 1972 and worked in fingerprints (when it was all done by hand).  I met Ruth, my wife of 48 years, who also worked for the FBI. She retired from the FBI in a professional position in 2012. We have two sons who are both married and we have four grandchildren.  I became a Special Agent in the Inspectors General Office at the US Department of Transportation and conducted white collar criminal investigations. My last job in the federal government was at the US Department of Education, as a Special Agent on the security protection detail for the US Secretary of Education, until my retirement in December 2017.

We lived in Cape St Claire from 1979 until October of 2014. During that time I was President of the Cape St Claire Recreation Council for five years and also for one year of the Cape St Claire Improvement Association. We moved to Arnold Manor in October 2014.

I am a big home improvement enthusiast, and love to work out. Throughout the years I was an avid runner, basketball player, and racquetball player. I still run sporadically, but walk most days and have recently picked up playing pickleball."

The second nominee is Elizabeth Rosborg. Elizabeth served as APC President from 2012 - 2017, Vice President 2017- 2019 and President from 2019-2021. She has served as Past President since mid 2021 and is eligible to return as a voting Director - at - Large.

General Development Plan - Region 4 Stakeholder Advisory Meeting

Review and share your thoughts!

Draft Region Plan Strategy Questionnaires

Based on input received through public comments and in collaboration with the Region 4 Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC), a series of strategies has been drafted to help shape the future of Region 4. Please review them and give us your input!

The five questionnaires linked below share these strategies, which are intended to advance the draft Vision (see below) for the Region's future. Strategies should help implement or provide regional detail to the broader goals and policies of Plan2040, without repeating the Countywide strategies of that Plan.

The draft vision for the future of Region 4 is as follows:

Managing future growth, preserving the natural environment, and achieving a healthy, safe, and livable community for all, with a multimodal transportation network that improves traffic, is the goal for a better tomorrow. The character of Region 4 is seen through the Region's abundant waterfront, high quality schools, employment opportunities, superb parks, trails, natural features, and other recreational sites. Striving to continually improve the quality of life and equity for all residents, visitors, and workers of Region 4 is the foundation for the future.

The draft strategies are divided into five topics, and each questionnaire should take roughly 10-15 minutes to complete. Click here for a helpful glossary of commonly used terms. Please consider taking each questionnaire to make sure your voice is heard.

The questionnaire closes April 3, 2023. Please limit your submission to one per person.
