System Updates This Weekend

As part of our commitment to delivering the highest level of service for our Members, we will be performing system updates this weekend. During these upgrades, we will be closed on Saturday, February 11th, and Online and Mobile Banking will be intermittently unavailable from the evening of Friday, February 10th through the morning of Monday, February 13th. Thank you for your patience during this period, and we look forward to delivering enhanced services in the near future!

Applications Available for 2023 Scholarships

Each year, we are honored to present three scholarships to local high school seniors preparing for their college careers. We are now accepting applications for 2023 scholarships. Applicants graduating high school in 2023 and belonging to The Atlantic Federal Credit Union are eligible to apply.

This year's deadline for scholarship application submissions is March 31, 2023.

The Atlantic is proud to offer our Members access to convenient auto shopping and financing through the Costco Auto Program. By partnering with thousands of dealerships, the Costco Auto Program gives you access to a wide selection and competitive pricing on new and pre-owned certified vehicles. This program is available to Costco and non-Costco members.

Through February, the Costco Auto Program is offering a special incentive on Cadillac vehicles.

Low HELOC Introductory Rate

Do you need cash after holiday spending? Are you planning a vacation or home project in 2023? The Atlantic's Home Equity Line of Credit is a great way to leverage equity in your home for planned or unexpected expenses.

Borrow up to 100% of the equity in your home with an introductory rate of 1.99% APR* for the first 6 months. Following the introductory period, Members can take advantage of a variable rate as low as Prime minus 0.50%, which is currently 7.25% APR.

We also offer competitive rates on Home Equity Loans for those who prefer a fixed rate.

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. All loans are subject to credit review and approval. An immediate draw of $25,000 is required to qualify for the introductory rate. Any existing Atlantic Federal Credit Union Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) that is being refinanced in order to receive the new introductory 6-month APR requires a $50,000 increase in the credit line amount, subject to approval. 1.99% APR is an introductory fixed rate for the first 6 months for qualified HELOC borrowers. After the introductory period, the fully indexed rate will be a variable APR based on the Prime Rate as published in the Wall Street Journal (which as of 02/06/2023 is 7.75%) plus or minus a margin that ranges from -0.50% to 4.00% based upon individual credit and services with the Atlantic Federal Credit Union. The standard minimum APR (floor rate) is 3.00%, and the maximum APR (ceiling rate) is 18.00%. The introductory fixed rate is for a maximum combined loan-to-value (CLTV) ratio of 100%, with a maximum loan amount of $250,000. The maximum term of a HELOC is 15 years, which consists of a 10-year draw period followed by a 5-year repayment period. If the Prime Rate increases or decreases after the introductory period, the variable APR and minimum required payment will change accordingly. The minimum monthly payment during the draw period is calculated monthly based upon the outstanding balance over the remaining term of the loan, but will not be less than $50 or the full amount owed, whichever is lesser. Promotion offered for a limited time, may be discontinued at any time, and is not available on Interest-Only Home Equity Line of Credit. Offered rates are subject to change without notice. SHARE Alliance

We recently had the privilege of presenting a donation to the SHARE Alliance, a newly formed 501(c)(3) organization focused on fighting hunger in Union County. The Alliance is a consortium of several congregations and other interested parties, including the Springfield school district, Springfield Rotary Club, Springfield Unity Project (SUP), Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and more dedicated to the proposition that no one should go to bed hungry, or wonder where their next meal will come from. Holy Trinity West Orange Food Pantry

We recently visited the Holy Trinity West Orange Food Pantry to deliver a donation in support of the Pantry's mission to provide community members in need with access to food. The dedicated team of volunteers at the Pantry helps struggling families by providing healthy meals and household supplies multiple times per week. Cyber Security Corner

Avoid Phishing Scams: Be aware of suspicious texts, emails and phone calls.

Cyber criminals will attempt to trick you into divulging personal information, such as your social security number, home address, banking or credit card information. These scams can be carried out by an unsolicited phone call, text or email while pretending to be from a well-known company. Do not provide your information. Simply hang up the phone or ignore the message. Reach out to a reliable source using publicly available contact information (whether it is customer service or someone you know) within the company to verify that the message or person is real. The Atlantic will never call our Members and ask for their personal information. If you have any concerns about a suspicious call, feel free to call our Member Services team at 908-245-1750.
