APRIL 2023

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us this past Saturday for Cocktails & Cabaret! What a wonderful evening celebrating First Act Theatre Arts and Producing Possibilities! Your generous support of our ambassador families, the event, and our organization allowed us to exceed our goal and raise just over $138,000!

Simply put, if it wasn’t for faithful supporters and patrons like you, we wouldn’t exist. So thank you for showing up and giving generously. Your gifts are making a difference in the lives of students who desire a sense of belonging and a place to be exactly who God created them to be. Together, we are Producing Possibilities in the lives of our students, families, and our greater Kansas City community!

As we prepared for Cocktails & Cabaret, we asked our students what they love most about First Act Theatre Arts. Watch the video below to see their answers!

The Peter and the Starcatcher cast has been hard at work over the last few months rehearsing the final Premiere Series show of the season! Peter and the Starcatcher runs April 20-23 at TCH's Stage and Studio at Oak Park Mall. This is a very intimate space, so get your tickets before they're gone!

"Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors, Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, and written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair… and the bonds of friendship, duty and love." "I look forward to Middle School Camp year round, it's my favorite week of the year!"

These are just SOME of the rave reviews of Middle School Camp. Don't miss your chance to be part of it this summer with Footloose!

To the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score (the soundtrack album reached number one on the Billboard charts and has sold over 17 million copies!) and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
