April Beekeeping Tips


On colds days, the bees are still clustered, but on warm sunny days, they should be bringing back lots of pollen and nector.


With all this "crazy" spring weather, keep checking your hives.


Make sure the bees have feed!


You should be able to remove winter wraps if you have not already.


In the event that some colonies did not survive the winter this is a good time of year to diagnose dead outs and learn from your mistakes

Manitowoc County Beekeepers Association


Their meetings are always the 1st Thursday of the month at the Manitowoc County Office Building, 4319 Expo Drive at 6:00 PM.

Sheboygan County Beekeepers Association


Meetings are normally held March through November on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (except as stated) in the Miley Barn at NOURISH Farm – 100 Alfred Miley Ave, Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085

The April  meeting is Tuesday, April 11th in the Miley Barn at Nourish. Bee meeting is 6:30 PM – They will address membership, and discussing beekeeping tips for the beginning of the season. Bee sure to bring your questions, all are welcome!! Watch for more details on their website at:
