LIVE. LOVE. LAUGH. LONDON.

The coronation is history...now plan a visit to London and experience your own royal adventure!

Covent Garden - This pedestrian-friendly public square in the West End is a great place for soaking up the vibrancy of London. Street performers entertain the crowds and restaurants spill out into the square. Head into Covent Garden Market to find a variety of antiques, arts and crafts and fresh produce.

Big Ben - For a first-timer in London, it’s thrilling to get that initial glimpse of Big Ben. This iconic tower sits on the north end of the Houses of Parliament. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Mall at Buckingham Palace - a must-do stroll for first-timers to London. This is the place to watch the Changing of the Guard.

Tower of London - dates back to 1066. It was used as both a prison and a royal residence and now houses the crown jewels. For an educational but slightly gory look at British history, don’t miss the Beefeater tours held daily.

Tower Bridge - Its medieval style makes many people think that it is very old (it was constructed in 1894) but it was designed to complement its neighbor, the Tower of London.

The Underground - London’s metro. It is fast, efficient and user-friendly. It’s the easiest and most convenient way to get around the city.

Red Phone Booths - Want a photo of a red phone booth and Big Ben? The best place to do this is on Great George Street, in between Parliament Street and Horse Guards Road.

Hop-on, Hop-off Bus Tour - a great way to see the main sights in just a matter of hours. This is one of tourists' favorite London experiences…seeing Big Ben, Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Whitehall, Piccadilly Circus and so much more, all in just two hours. And then perhaps plan a re-visit for a deeper look at the sights of your choice.

Westminister Abbey

This is where kings and queens are crowned, where famous people are buried, where weddings take place and where you can still attend a service.

More than 3,300 people are buried in Westminster Abbey, including Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, Laurence Olivier, Stephen Hawking and most of the Kings & Queens of England.

Westminster Abbey has also been the site of quite a few royal weddings.

The most recent royal wedding was Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.

On May 6, 2023, King Charles was coronated at Westminster Abbey.

The West End

London’s West End is the hotspot for live theatre – musicals, in particular. From enduring classics like Les Misérables to the latest blockbusters, and plenty of fringe theatre written by up-and-coming artists, this is one of the

world’s finest spots for performance art.

Famous Department Stores

Harrods - London’s premiere department store. Seven floors are filled with luxury items from around the world. Check out the food halls - amazing!

Selfridges - a high-end department store located on Oxford Street, famous for its creative window designs, which have been photographed and featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Times.

Liberty London - The exterior façade resembles a Tudor building. Inside, for sale are men’s and women’s clothing, jewelry and Liberty fabric, which is famous for its bold, colorful prints.

Fortnum and Mason - started off as a grocery store, dating back to the 1700’s.

One of the best places in London to shop for tea & biscuits, wine & chocolates.

St. Paul's Cathedral

The present day cathedral was consecrated in 1697 after the Great Fire of London in 1666 destroyed the old St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The funerals of Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill were held here,

as was the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

On a visit, you will see the interior of the cathedral and the crypt, with an option to climb the 528 steps to the dome for panoramic views of London.

Afternoon Tea

Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, introduced the concept of Afternoon Tea in 1840. The Duchess got hungry around four o’clock in the afternoon and the evening meal wasn’t until 8 pm. That meant there was a long time between lunch and dinner. Because no one wants to wait that long to eat, the Duchess asked for a tray of tea, bread, butter and cake during the late afternoon.

For a quintessential British experience, dine on finger sandwiches, scones and small cakes at one of many venues offering Afternoon Tea.
