Past Events & Announcements

We Surpassed our Goal of Raising $9 Million for The Campaign for the Students of San Joaquin Memorial - Empowering Today, Transforming Tomorrow!

It is with great excitement that I announce the successful completion of the Empowering Today,Transforming Tomorrow Capital Campaign. The goal of this campaign was $9 million to help transform the educational experience of our students. We currently have pledges and payments in excess of $9.3 million.

If you have been to campus recently, you can see the tangible results of the generosity of our San Joaquin Memorial community. To name a few of the projects we have installed air conditioning in the main gym, totally updated our cafeteria, created a plethora of outdoor student congregation spaces, begun a complete renovation of Ryan Gym and are installing artificial turf at the stadium this summer. All of these projects will have a significantly positive impact on our students.

Through the campaign we are also establishing a $2 million dollar tuition assistance program and a $1 million dollar teaching excellence fund. Both of these programs will go a long way to rewarding teaching that is explementary and attracting the most talented students to SJM.

On behalf of the SJM student body, I would like to say Thank You to our generous supporters. All of us have played a role in reaching this milestone in the long history of San Joaquin Memorial High School.

Click on the photo above to view more photos.

The final Beautify Fresno event of the year took place on Saturday, March 25, 2023. They covered approximately 500 yards of wall graffiti at Logan Park in Fresno. The residents of the area will no longer have to look at ugly graffiti! So proud of this group and all that they have accomplished this year.

Grandparents Mass & Mini Reception

We had a beautiful Grandparents Mass and Reception on March 23, 2023! It was so great to see so many grandparents on campus that day with their grandchildren! Thank you all for coming and we hope you come back soon! You are always welcome at Memorial.

Thank you for Making our Annual Blood Drive a Success!

Our Annual Blood Drive was a success we surpassed our goal given to us by the Central California Blood Bank, so great job Panthers! You honored one of our own, Aaron Martinez in a most caring and life giving way.  One God, One School, One Family!

Advanced Placement Exams

AP Exams will take place during the first two weeks of May: May 1-5 and May 8-12. Below is the schedule for the exams including the days and times. The dates and times are fixed by the College Board two years in advance and CANNOT be changed. New this year is the introduction of digital exams, that is, exams will be taken entirely on a digital device: school issued iPad, personal tablet, or personal laptop (Chromebooks excluded.) If a student is using an iPad or other tablet, it must have an external keyboard. If a student does not have an external keyboard, the school will provide one. Digital exams will be conducted in the following subjects: US History, European History, Seminar, and English Literature.

Next year the digital exams will expand to other subjects.

Students must report to the exam location 15 minutes early.

The table below outlines the AP Exam schedule. Note: Locations of each exam will be posted later this month.
