TCG Virtual Feedback Sessions!
TCG is hosting two upcoming 60 min virtual feedback sessions on August 14th and 21st and are inviting Chicago Theatre members to join. TCG will offer informal prompts to hear from everyone, and learn of how they see the theatre community in Chicago as well as which aspects they’d like to see reflected in Conference themes and programming.

Hot Tix’s Tickets for a 20 Promotion Returns!
From August 24 – September 3, Hot Tix is bringing back our popular “Tickets for a 20” promotion! During this limited time promotion Hot Tix will offer $20 tickets to fall shows in advance to build excitement for the return of fall theatre. In 2022, we sold over 3,500 tickets during this promotion with great feedback from participating theatres and patrons.
To participate in this promotion, the regular ticket price for the seats allocated will need to be more than $20 and the special promotion will run Thursday, August 24 – Sunday, September 3 (or while supplies last). Deadline Today for the BIC Emerging Theatre Award!
The League of Chicago Theatres is accepting applications through today for the 2023 Broadway in Chicago Emerging Theatre Award. The winning organization will receive $5,000. This award was created in 2007 to encourage, support, and promote young theatres in Chicago that have demonstrated great ability, promise, artistic excellence, and fiscal responsibility in business practices. A nominating committee comprised of Chicago theatre professionals will review the applications and select the finalists. The eventual honoree will be selected from this group of finalists by a majority vote of League of Chicago Theatre’s members. The grant application process is open now and the deadline to submit your application is TODAY, August 10, 2023. Learn more about this opportunity and download the application form here.

New Dues for Fall 2023!
Our new member dues transition the previous emerging and seasonal dues into standard dues and grant voting rights to all members of the league. All dues are now in one membership model by budget group, including lower budget tiers and rates.
We so appreciate your membership and all of us at the League hope you continue to find value in all that we do. Please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime with any questions or concerns you might have. These dues will go in affect this upcoming renewal season in September 2023.

Please submit production photos to our Member Production Photo Submission Form located at leagueofchicagotheatres.org. This also helps the League keep an active archive of shows across Chicago.

The Sarah Siddons Society is proud to expand on its mission to further support the professional growth of the next generation of Chicago area theatre artists. This year is the inaugural offering of ten Professional Development Grants of $500 each to emerging theatre artist professionals. The purpose of these grants is to provide some financial assistance, at the discretion of the grantee, to assist in their professional development such as voice lessons, further training or headshots. While there is no age requirement associated with these grants, priority will be given to those beginning their careers. Lawyer's for the Creative Arts is hosting a Sexual Harassment Prevention & Bystander Intervention Training for Supervisors & Employers on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1-4pm CT via Zoom. Lawyers for the Creative Arts wants to make sure that every arts organization with one or more Chicago employees is in compliance and has a clear understanding of their responsibilities under the new law. This training will satisfy the annual training requirement for Chicago Employers and includes the two hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for supervisors and managers and one hour Bystander Training for all employees, plus a Q & A session at the end.
