WIHA Update | Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging

January 2025

WIHA's 2025 Goal

WIHA's mission is to improve the health and well-being of all people as we age. We do this by disseminating evidence-based programs and practices and by engaging in collaborative public health strategies in Wisconsin and beyond. We envision a culture of healthy aging that embraces equity, independence, and self-management, and that values every person in every community.

Our 2025 Goal is to prioritize building and maintaining relationships at all levels (license holders, program providers, facilitators, and participants) which will ultimately help to collectively increase our reach and sustainability.

This year, we intend to use strategies including increasing awareness, relationship building, listening and adapting, and communication to help us achieve our goal.

We're excited to work with all of you to achieve great things in 2025!

Call for Poster Presentations!

Are you involved in community programming addressing healthy aging? We invite you to showcase your work and share the exciting things happening in your community at our upcoming conference!

Poster presentations are a dynamic way to highlight the innovative programs and strategies you’ve implemented to help people age well. Whether it’s reducing social isolation or loneliness, promoting active lifestyles, managing chronic conditions, preventing falls, or others, we want to hear about your successes, challenges, and lessons learned.

We’re aging. All of us. And it’s up to each of us to take good care of ourselves and our health as we age. That’s where we come in. We’re here to help people help themselves to better health. But we can’t do it alone! As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we operate on grants and contributions from generous donors and partners. Your support is vital to us as we administer programs and promote practices that encourage good health. With your donation we can serve older adults in the best possible way to increase the quality of their lives. We thank you so much for being a part of our network!
