Board Highlights
from the March 14, 2023 meeting
2023-24 MUSD school calendar unanimously approved by Board
The 2023-24 school year calendar, which includes Thursday, August 10 as the first day of school and the observance of the Lunar New Year on Friday, February 9, 2024, was adopted by the Milpitas Unified School District Board of Education at the March 14, 2023 meeting.

Over the last month, MUSD staff gathered input through a Google Survey from staff and parents on the selection of an upcoming school calendar. School Site Councils (SSC) were also provided an opportunity to respond to this Calendar Survey. The input confirmed common wishes as well as proposed unique challenges to scheduling for schools, employees, and families.
