THREE OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF W. BAY AVENUE OFF-RAMP OCCURING NEXT WEEK Temporary Closures Begin Monday, April 17, 2023

NORFOLK, VA. – Crews performing construction work for the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel Expansion Project (HRBT) will temporarily close the W. Bay Avenue off-ramp from I-64 West multiple nights beginning Monday, April 17, 2023. The off-ramp, will close and a detour will be in place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the following evenings: Monday, April 17 Tuesday, April 18 Wednesday, April 19 As part of the project’s widening work for I-64 East in Norfolk, the W. Bay Avenue off-ramp will be closed, and traffic will be detoured to the 4th View Street off-ramp (refer to detour route map below). Motorists are urged to remain alert, obey posted speed limits and exercise patience when driving in this area.
