A message from the Executive Director - Melissa Karrer

Hi Friends,

As we welcome the new year, we embrace the promise of renewal and hope, particularly for those facing a cancer diagnosis.

This season serves as a reminder that each day is an opportunity to start fresh and it is also a reminder that Spring is (hopefully) right around the corner.

Kentucky CancerLink is dedicated to empowering individuals by providing the support and resources they need to navigate this path with strength and resilience and where hope thrives. We had the privilege of serving over 3,000 Kentuckians last year with over 5,500 different services across 115 of the 120 counties!

Please consider supporting our mission financially in 2025 so that we can continue to make an impact in our communities throughout the Commonwealth. All of our donations stay local to help Kentuckians in need. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of cancer patients!

We are excited to see what new opportunities 2025 has in store for us. Our commitment to continue fostering meaningful relationships within our community and with our partners remains at the heart of our mission. Thank you for staying connected. Wishing you a healthy and joyful new year filled with all good things.

Stay tuned for more information to come regarding some great events we have planned for 2025!

Cheers,

Melissa

Out and About

Melissa & Melanie attended the 2024 MCCAN (Markey Cancer Center Affiliate Network) Cancer Care Conference in Lexington on Dec. 12th. It was a great opportunity to network with MCCAN affiliate partners and offer education on KCL resources that support their patients.

Our KCL staff holiday celebration was a fun way to end 2024 and to celebrate all of the hard work and dedication to the patients we serve and our partners we collaborate with. We're looking forward to another successful year together in 2025.

Melanie had the opportunity to provide gift wrapping to customers at J&H Outdoors on Sat. Dec. 21 as a way to increase donations for our mission and to promote KCL as one of the top finalists for the 2024 Bags to Riches program and to provide education on resources and support available from KCL.
