Happy New Year! The Preschool staff and I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas break. The themes in our preschool classes this first week of January are all related to “Winter Weather”.
Boy did we get a lot of snow! Mrs. Christina’s class is learning about snow. They are identifying and writing letters. They are matching snowflakes in math and making a snowflake out of paint dots in art. Mrs. Sheila’s class is learning all about snow and how it freezes and melts. They are also practicing writing the letters of their names.
Mrs. Kate’s, Mrs. Emily’s and Mrs. Sheila’s 4-year-old classes are making melted snowmen and snow globes in art. In math they are learning about snowflake symmetry. Students are experimenting with “instant snow” at the sensory table and are exploring making snow and observing melting ice.
Mrs. Liz’s 5-year-old class is learning to write the word “snow” and are writing words to complete the sentence, “These boots are made for _______”. They are developing their fine motor skills while making snowmen out of ripped paper in art.
Preschool registration is fast approaching. Registration packets will be sent home January 16 and 17. If you currently have children enrolled in SASEAS and would like a sibling registration packet for preschool, please let me know via phone: 513-575-9900 or email: limberga@saseas.org.
Have a great week!
