Dr. Lily Elefteriadou Meets Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at WTS Reception during TRB | |
UFTI Director Dr. Lily Elefteriadou ran into Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) International Chair’s reception, and he graciously posed for a photo. During his talk, he spoke about the importance of upcoming transportation investments and how the efforts that women have made in the profession of transportation and public policy have not only helped women but Americans in general. | |

Graduate Research Assistant, Bryce Grame, received an achievement award and grant from the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program, part of the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (USDOT FHWA.) He also presented a poster on his current research involving the CARMA ecosystem. | |

More than 250 people attended the UFTI TRB Reception held at Penn Social, which also ran concurrently with a STRIDE Student Poster session and competition that included 18 participants. And the winners were:
- 1st Place - Matteo Saracco, of GaTech (Poster: Carving Up the Curb: Evaluating Curb Management Strategies for Ride-Hailing & Ride-Sharing Activity through Simulation)
- 2nd Place - Subid Ghimire, of North Carolina State University (Poster: Spatial and Temporal Characteristics of Microtransit Trips: A Case Study of Wilson)
- 3rd Place - Abdullah Al Farabi, of North Carolina State University (Poster: Integrated Corridor Management by Cooperative Traffic Signal and Ramp Metering Control)
