Seminole County residents are encouraged to register for emergency alerts through Alert Seminole, Seminole County’s emergency notification and warning system. Residents can sign up to receive emergency alerts via text, e-mail, or voice call about a variety of potential public safety and environmental hazards, including:

  1. Significant weather events, including hurricanes, tornadoes, and severe thunderstorms
  2. Evacuations
  3. Shelter-in-place orders
  4. Emergency shelter information
  5. Highly disruptive road closures
  6. Boil water notices and other safety concerns

Participating residents will receive time-sensitive messages specific to their specified home or business location within Seminole County. Residents can unsubscribe to alerts at any time through their account.
