Happy October! As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, it’s the perfect time to open your heart and home to a furry friend.

October is National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, and here at the Humane Society of Sonoma County (HSSC), we have an amazing group of dogs ready to find their forever families!

They don't need to go home together, but they’d each thrive in an active home where playtime never ends and training can keep them on their paws.

Sugar Crush has been at HSSC for 250+ days,

 a little over 8 months!

This powerhouse loves nothing more than a good game of fetch-he’ll chase that ball like he’s competing in the Dog Olympics. Despite his muscular frame, Sugar Crush has a funny quirk: he genuinely believes he’s a lap dog. Yes, he’ll plop himself down on you with all the grace of a sumo wrestler, but with the heart of a teddy bear.

STARLIGHT

Starlight has been at HSSC for 70+ days!

Be dazzled by Starlight, a beautiful 40-pound dog with mesmerizing, differently colored eyes. This athletic and intelligent pup loves to stay active, especially when toys and balls are involved. Starlight’s friendly nature makes her a hit with people and other dogs alike, ensuring she’s the perfect companion for both play and relaxation.

ASPEN

Aspen has been at HSSC for 90+ days!

Aspen is an adorable and affectionate husky mix looking for his forever home! He’s gorgeous and knows it and has that typical husky confidence and sass. Just look at those stunning eyes! He has a fantastic singing voice and loves to talk with you.
