Free Vaccines for Medicare Beneficiaries 

As part of the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act, Congress eliminated cost-sharing for all vaccines covered under Medicare Part D that are recommended for adults by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). The free vaccines now include flu, pneumococcal, COVID-19 vaccines, Tdap, shingles and hepatitis B for people whose doctors recommend it,

For older adults with additional risk factors or other health needs: hepatitis A, varicella, meningococcal A, C, W, Y (MenACWY); meningococcal B (MenB); and haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) are free as well.

News of former President Jimmy Carter's health and choice for hospice care has been in the news. What you might not know is that former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, has been at the forefront of caregiving for decades.

The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI) was established in 1987, rooted in former First Lady’s belief that "there are only four types of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, who are caregivers, who will be caregivers, and who will need caregivers.
