Advocacy Day is coming up on February 14! All Our Kin will join the Empire State Child Care Campaign for an in-person rally and press conference in Albany. Together, we will call on legislators to make child care a top priority issue in New York.

What to Do When Children Notice Difference


Starting at a young age, children can notice differences in gender, skin color, and abilities. Acknowledging differences can lead to difficult conversations, but also provide a valuable learning opportunity. Join this workshop on Feb. 25 to reflect on ways to celebrate differences, and discover hands-on tools for facilitating these conversations with children.

Child Care Vouchers for Undocumented Children (PromiseNYC)


Due to your advocacy, undocumented children in New York City can now qualify for child care vouchers through a program called PromiseNYC. In the Bronx, this program is run by the non-profit organization NMIC. If there are children in your program, or community, who you think may qualify, please click for more information. You can also call NMIC at (929) 415-3999 on Tuesdays or email promisenyc@nmic.org.

Are you currently receiving child care voucher payments? You have until Jan. 31 to apply for an ACS market rate increase and still be eligible for retroactive payments. If you need help submitting your rate increase form, join our support calls on Jan. 26 at 6:45 p.m.

February kicks off Black History Month, an opportunity to learn and teach about the endless contributions of Black Americans throughout history. Throughout the month, we want to highlight our amazing community of black educators, whose work transforms the lives of our youngest children and families.
