Climate Smart and Future-Ready
Larimer County is in Phase 3 of a three-phase planning process to address climate change through mitigation and adaptation strategies intended to lessen impacts on community members and the county’s identified priorities and aspirations. BFC is excited to be part of the Phase 3 Implementation Planning Team. We Need a Bike Park
In May 2021 the community voted to rezone the Hughes Stadium property. It's now zoned “Public Open Lands,” which allows the site to be used for parks, recreation, open lands, natural areas, and wildlife rescue and restoration. The city is in the process of determining the ultimate future of Hughes and they are seeking community input. Fort Collins needs a Bike Park. Now is the chance to let them know. Provide your input via a short 5-question survey by January 31st. READ MORE
ICYMI: BFC Adds to "Let's Ride" Video Series
Building upon the work BFC began in 2021 in partnership with the Larimer County Department of Health and the Built Environment, where we created three initial videos in a “Let’s Ride” series showcasing the safe route to school from three mobile home parks to their respective middle schools, we’ve added three more safe route videos. Intersection / Facility Focus - E. Harmony Rd. & Ziegler Rd.
For this month's intersection/facility focus we look at the intersection of East Harmony Road and Ziegler Road. What has your bicycle experience been at this intersection? Have you experienced any bicycle/vehicle conflict here, near misses, or unsafe behavior? Please take the survey, your voice matters!

Moving People Forward - Bicycle Colorado
February 6th

This year’s program is titled Critical Measures. Colorado’s transportation system planning was built on an assumption that vehicle throughput was the ultimate measure. Today, Colorado is working to change how we measure success in transportation by incorporating the human impacts.

Keynote and panel discussion will unpack the choices—and highlight the opportunities—for state and local leaders to lead with a multimodal focus.

Winter Bike to Work Day / Bike From Work Bash
February 10th

Winter Bike to Work Day (or Bike to Wherever Day) is February 10, 2023. Bike Fort Collins will be located at the Oak Street Plaza breakfast station and we will have some fun schwag, our classic “legal or not” quiz, and the usual friendly bicycle banter. READ MORE

Bike Fort Collins - Monthly Happy Hour
February 16th

Transportation Projects Fair 2023
February 23rd

The City of Fort Collins is hosting a Transportation Projects Fair on Thursday, February 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Fort Collins Senior Center. This crowd favorite open house-style event will allow members of the public to browse a variety of short and long term projects planned throughout the city and talk to city staff and regional partners. Refreshments will be served and an interpreter will be available.
Tour de Pi(e) 2023
March 14th

The annual Tour de Pi(e) will take place on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 and includes three stops featuring three premier pie makers in Fort Collins. Join us on this wonky math day as we wind through town for 10-ish miles, enjoying the perfect ratio of pie and beverage along the way. READ MORE
National Bike Summit - League of American Bicyclists
March 26th - 29th

The 23rd Annual National Bike Summit will take place Sunday, March 26 - Wednesday, March 29, 2023. At the 2023 National Bike Summit, attendees will convene around the theme of Choosing Our Future.

As 2022 has presented individuals and institutions with a host of transformational opportunities, there are many choices ahead about how the bike movement can shape the future for the next generation, from climate change to racial equity. READ MORE
