Hello Long Beach State!

I am very excited to welcome you back for the spring semester! I hope that everyone’s break was filled with rest and relaxation and that we are all ready to tackle what this new semester has in store for us! The next couple of weeks we have a jam-packed schedule to welcome both new and returning students to campus.

During the spring semester, ASI is really focused on our Future U Project campaign. We are looking for student feedback and engagement on what we need in our University Student Union (USU). For the next few weeks, we have a ton of events that are focused on hearing what students’ priorities are for a new USU. Be sure to check out these awesome events to socialize, mingle, meet new people, but most importantly, to tell us what should be in our potential new USU!

In addition to these great events, ASI also offers some incredible resources for students and campus partners. If you’re a student parent looking for convenient childcare, then you should definitely check out the Isabel Patterson Child Development Center (IPCDC). Right now, the IPCDC is accepting applications for their waitlist. For more information, check out asicsulb.org/IPCDC.

Spring is the season of ASI Elections. Now is the perfect time to get involved in Student Government and “Make Your Mark” at Long Beach State University (LBSU). Applications are available online starting Jan. 23 at asicsulb.org/elections.

Finally, make sure you take the time to fill out The Future U Project survey. We want your feedback on what ASI should prioritize in a possible renovation and expansion of the USU. To ensure student needs are heard, your participation in this survey, and this campaign, is vital. Now is your chance to "Create Tomorrow Today."
