This Sunday
2022 Annual Canvass Begins
Courageous Giving: What is your heart calling you to do and to give?

Our Annual Canvass 2022 kicks off this week and you will receive your pledge card in the mail. You can also pledge online at now at allsaintsatlanta.org/pledgecard.

Over the next eight weeks we will offer inspirational stories and voices of All Saints’ inviting each of us to make our pledge commitments to this church we call home. Annual giving funds the staff, the clergy, the worship, the ministries, the parish activities—the believing, the belonging and the becoming at All Saints’.

Think that your gift is too small? Not a chance! It is in this communal work that we make it all happen.
During this Sunday’s worship services, we’ll celebrate the giving messages and the wisdom of three of All Saints’ best storytellers: Mary Wyche Lesesne, Ann Stallard and Ann Woodall.

Conversations and Compline

Come for conversation, stay for Compline. We gather together on the fourth Sunday of the month to pair up for some interactive, rotational conversations and fun. The evening concludes with music and prayer to send us into the week refreshed.

Two Classes with Refugee Ministries

Our Refugee Ministries program offers two classes this Sunday:

Dear saints,

Not many churches would have the chutzpah to pair the launch of their annual canvass with their annual pet blessing service. Visions of four-legged friends processing in with pledge cards tucked under their dog collars are already wandering through your mind, I am sure. Yet, when you think about it for a moment, what a wonderful proclamation it is, saying that everything—all creatures great and small—is a blessing from God. Our celebration of the Feast of St. Francis is not a commentary on how much Francis liked to keep pets, but of his theological vision of what human life looks like when it embraces all of God’s creation. Embracing all with open hearts is an ethos we live by as a church. Here we grow in friendship with a rich diversity of people in our parish, through our core ministries and because of this community we share in common. So, whether or not you are bringing a canine, or feline, or some distant relative of the dinosaurs with you this Sunday at 9:00 a.m., each of us can bring the conviction that all that we are and do is a blessing from God, and to God belongs the honor and glory. As the psalmist says, ‘let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.'

Peace,

We will also collect smaller household items (linens, utensils, etc.), which can be delivered to All Saints’ by October 16.

Serve as an Usher During the 11:15 a.m. Services on Sundays

The usher ministry invites volunteers to serve as friendly faces and provide a warm welcome to all who enter our church doors. Our ministry is one of hospitality and assistance to all worshipers, giving extra attention and help to visitors and those with special needs. As a team, ushers distribute bulletins, collect offerings, provide attendance counts and guide worshipers to communion. Each 11:15 usher team serves a month at a time, for four months during the year. If interested and have questions, please contact Charlie Rigby. We look forward to serving with you!
Share a Meal with the Men of Covenant Community

Please continue the tradition of providing dinner for the men of Covenant Community on a Monday night. Meals can either be shared with the men inside the residence or they can be dropped off sometime during the day. Available dates are: November 15, 22, 29. Thank you so much.

Using neuroscience based concepts and tools to build self-command muscles of mind and spirit, this interactive session will illuminate methods for sustaining calm and positivity in our relationships at home and at work as we recognize and lessen stress-causing “Saboteur” voices while strengthening our inner “Sage” potential.

Lunch is provided and will be served outside in Kennedy Courtyard. Please RSVP (especially with your dietary needs) online.
