This year, Greenlight Family Services is celebrating two decades of serving families, young adults, and children with the highest quality services.

Today, I am reflecting on the remarkable journey we have shared. For more than 20 years, Greenlight has stood by Illinois families, ensuring their loved ones receive the care and protection they deserve. Greenlight’s Legal Services team, for example, has helped hundreds of parents, grandparents, and relatives obtain Adult Guardianship for their loved ones when a mental or physical disability has made it impossible for them to live on their own. Read below for more information on obtaining legal guardianship.

Adult Guardianship

for Disabled Adults in Illinois

Greenlight Family Services assists individuals with becoming the legal guardian for the disabled adult in their care. Adult guardianship allows the caregiver to make personal and financial decisions for the special needs of the disabled adult (aged 18 or older) in their care, which protects them from exploitation.
