Summer officially begins this month and with it, the rainy season. If you are one of the lucky people who live here, you know, that if it starts to rain, just wait a minute or two and it will most likely pass. Simply stated, don't let a little rain stop your fun!
If dad’s a history buff, or even if he’s not, bring him to Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum and Gift Shop and watch a film of Mel Fisher's legendary discovery and see authentic treasures from the salvaged shipwreck of the Atocha in Key West. You’ll also learn about the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet that shipwrecked just off our coast, giving us our Treasure Coast name. The Sebastian Area Historical Museum has exhibits on the Ais Indians that inhabited the area as well as early agriculture and more. The Sebastian Inlet Fishing Museum showcases classic fishing pictures, videos, and vintage fishing gear and is located at the famous Sebastian Inlet State Park.

Since the Blue Water Open Tournament began, the Exchange Club of Sebastian, has donated over $750,000 to local charitable organizations, including those focused on the prevention of child abuse as well as scholarships for area youth.
