News from your Executive Committee
In April, our monthly Board communication for the Light Green Machine Institute (LGMI) included seven intended action items for year one. Activities have begun on two of these items. First, the bylaws for the LGMI are being drafted, and will be available for Board review and voting later in July. These bylaws are specific to Delaware, the state in which the LGMI is incorporated. Once approved, we can craft a confidentiality agreement for the Board of Directors, and begin formulating the initial committees for the LGMI. Second, the organization and structure of the LGMI's approach to prioritizing and selecting possible projects aligned the LGMI objectives is being designed. In this vein, Laura Feix, an expert in the development of standards for several industry professional services organizations, was engaged for guidance on the standards development process for construction and installation of papermaking equipment. It is reasonable to consider that the LGMI will be an ANSI-accredited standards developer, of which there are well over 200 in existence today. This development process will evolve in the coming months.

In a couple of months, we will be moving this column to the Light Green Machine Institute website. There is not much there right now, but you might as well get signed up and start thinking about moving over there. It is at
