Team Lead - Estrellon Team
I’m proud to say that this year marks 13 years working with this amazing organization and my 11th trip abroad with B3. Each year I feel so blessed to play a part in the amazing and important work B3 does both locally and globally. As a high school teacher of environmental science, I spend most of my year in the classroom trying to teach and empower students that they must take an active role in improving their planet and their community. Some students get it, but many don't. ALL the students, however, that participate in B3 embrace this message wholeheartedly and make it their own. Their lives are changed because of it and my life has been changed because of that. I can think of nothing more inspiring than to watch this change unfold each and every year. Outside of teaching, I had served for 7 years as director and farmer at Wakeman Town Farm in Westport and am now serving on the Board of Directors of Builders Beyond Borders. I live in Milford with my wife, Carrie, and two young children, Ethan and Cora. Looking forward to another great year!

Team Lead - Equipo Esperanza Team
The oldest of four B3 “alumni,” I joined B3 as a student in 2007,first as an intern, and now as an advisor. This will be my 5th year as an advisor, and my first as team lead/ with our March team.
I am beyond thrilled that B3 is back and cannot wait to get back to working with our phenomenal students and community partners in Guatemala. Truly, few experiences are as rewarding as watching our students grow through this program, and the opportunity to work alongside them is a sincere privilege and pleasure. I’ve worked in fundraising for the past 10 years, most of that time spent in higher ed at Boston College and, currently, Northwestern University. I’m a proud alumna of Marquette University and BC, when I’m not at work - or B3 - I’m most likely found at a theatre/museum, planning my next trip, or fangirling over Bruce Springsteen. I am so grateful to be returning to my favorite B3 destination, Guatemala, and to get back to building with our team.

Team Lead - Amanecer/Mejuntos Team
My family has been involved with Builders Beyond Borders since 2007 and I have participated since 2009. My daughter Jessica who participated in B3 for 3 years inspired me to join. It has been wonderful to work with the students and other advisors here and abroad. B3 has led to so many wonderful experiences and through it, I have made many friends. I am looking forward to another great year with B3 and traveling to Guatemala.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, sailing, reading, and exploring the world. When my time is not spare I am a real estate professional.

Team Lead - Odyssey Team
I'm very happy to be part of the B3 mission and am excited to be returning to the adventure! Our family has been associated with B3 since 2004 when our two sons joined Builders doing community service and raising funds for their trips. I love spending time with my wife Judy Renacia, my fellow Odyssey Team Lead and our family, and I like traveling to new places, baseball (Mets fan), rowing, dancing, and working together to help others. Guatemala/2022 is my 13th year as an Advisor and I work as a Consultant to major advertisers in the TV Commercials production field. The B3 experience opens the world up locally and globally to us all and I'm looking forward to accomplishing great things with the Odyssey team this year!
