School Safety Tips from Boca Police
Plus, seeking student safety reels to feature!
Hey Boca Raton -- believe it or not, we are almost at the start of the school year! Every year we post “Back to School” safety videos with tips like school zone safety, drop off and pick up, school bus safety and much more.

This year we want our Boca Raton students to send us their best “Reel” with their back-to-school safety tips. If picked, your video will be showcased on our social media pages.

Things to keep in mind, make it as cool as possible, the shorter the better and have fun!
DM all Reels to @bocapolice or [email protected] by August 8th. We will feature our picks every day through the first week of school.

Sustainability Corner
Sustainable Summer &
Water Conservation
The Sustainable Summer theme for August is Water Conservation! Now that the summer rains have started and we don't need to run our sprinklers as often, it is a good time to think about maintenance on your sprinkler system.
Did you know that Floridians use about 50% of their water outside and almost half of that is wasted? Learn more on the Sustainability Take Action page.
Remember... the City of Boca Raton has irrigation restrictions in place year-round to save water -- know your water days! Double check your irrigation system is scheduled correctly. Routine sprinkler maintenance is important too. Learn more from the EPA's WaterSense website.
