Join other pet-loving friends at WCHS’s first Open House in our newly expanded and renovated building. We’ll have building tours, including the pet wellness center, adoption rooms, updated dog kennel, and community space.

Kids' activities include adopting and vetting a “stuffed pet,” crafting a pet toy for a shelter animal, spinning and winning fabulous prizes, games, and much more.

Consider donating a few cans of dog or cat food to stock up the Pet Food Pantry in exchange for snacks and beverages.

We heartily thank all our donors, supporters, and volunteers for their invaluable contributions, which made the shelter expansion and renovation a reality.

Final Call to be Part of History

Better Days Only Arrive After People Act – this is the final invitation to become a builder of a better tomorrow for needy animals. You can be a part of something big- constructing a legacy of love for tomorrow’s hurt and homeless animals.

Donors wishing to improve the lives of tomorrow’s animals should consider giving $35, $50, or whatever you can to Funding a Need. If enough people donate, the total will be reached, and the need can be fulfilled!

Give any amount to purchase and install kitty climbing shelves along the walls of the

Catio and Free Roam Cat rooms.

Make the Dog Days of Summer Cooler

Are dogs your best friends? The dogs are barking for shade sails & study shade covers over the Play Yard to protect them from the sun and rain.

Give a few bucks to cool the canines.

With a gift of $1000+, your name will be listed on the Donor Honor Wall in the new addition.

A couple of Naming Opportunities are still available. You can have your or another person’s name and a dedication inscription on a sign mounted next to selected rooms.

All Naming Opportunities donations may be paid for over three years.

Pet Remembrance Night is August 26^th

It has a new look, a new location, and the same heartfelt emotion.

With exuberant love, they enter our lives, run away with our hearts, and leave us with pawprint memories before we are ready.

Please join us in remembering and cherishing the powerful love we call “pet parenthood.”

When you donate, we'll attach your pet's name and heartfelt message to a lantern and display it in the renovated shelter.

This year's Walk for Animals is on October 12th!
