Greetings!
Thank you everyone who attended our three sold-out West Coast premiere screenings at the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles on September 11th and 12th. We were humbled by the overwhelming positive responses!
For those of you who live (or have friends/family) in Canada, you'll have the opportunity to see the film online at our next festival screening. The Montreal International Black Film Festival runs from September 22 - October 3.
If you live in the northeastern part of the US, we are excited for our next live, IN-PERSON screening as Writer/Director and Buffalo native son Tarabu Betserai Kirkland goes back home to New York (where Mamie lived to be Buffalo's oldest citizen, at 111 years old!) for a special screening and post-film in-person Q&A at the Buffalo International Film Festival on Sunday October 10th at 1:45 PM EDT. In other festival news we have been accepted in the Heartland International Film Festival in Indianapolis, the New Orleans Film Festival and the International Black Film Festival in Nashville!

And finally...although we have finished production on the film and are presenting at festivals and events around the country and in Canada, ongoing festival and travel expenses, promotion and insurance costs require ongoing fundraising efforts.
