More Cameras Coming to DuSable Lake Shore Drive

Thanks to State Senator Sara Feigenholtz for introducing legislation which will allow use of expressway cameras along DuSable Lake Shore Drive and increase the number of cameras available. This will be another important addition to keep our community safer. These cameras help law enforcement solve crime faster. The bills, signed into law by Governor Pritzker, are effective immediately.

Norman Malone was a budding piano virtuoso. At age 10 after a devastating attack, he became partially paralyzed on the right side. Refusing to give up his passion, he found a teacher at DePaul University School of Music and learned to play some of the most complex piano music ever composed using only his left hand. Yet, the beloved choral instructor at Lincoln Park High School kept his talent hidden for decades. His story is the subject of "For the Left Hand," the acclaimed documentary by Kartemquin Films.
