The application window for the 2022 HOPE Grant is now open, through the end of August!

The 2022 HOPE Grant is designed to assist adoptive parents by helping offset some of their qualified adoption expenses during their adoption process. This is open to those currently in the process of adoption OR those that may have recently completed the process.

Details can be seen on their website under the “HOPE Grant” tab, or view their short info video!

Family History "Unknown"

For adopted individuals to be empowered to advocate for their healthcare needs, medical providers must know how to interact in an adoption identity affirming manner and create an environment where patients feel safe discussing their biological history. To accomplish this, adoption professionals and parents should partner with both adopted individuals and medical providers to find ways to thoughtfully navigate adopted patients’ healthcare needs. NCFA's issue of the Adoption Advocate explains how to begin that process.

Words Matter!

Your words have power in the lives of children and families. There is an opportunity to pass on knowledge, kindness, and empathy during every conversation, but there is also an opportunity to trigger past trauma. Let's strive to make our words count, and speak life, especially in the hearts of our little ones.

Families home in July!

If you are not in a position to adopt right now, but still feel compelled to help, please know that you can always make a donation directly to Madison Adoption Associates. Your generous gift will be directed where it is needed most, whether that be to provide food and medical services to vulnerable children both domestically and internationally, to support MAA’s growing therapeutic support services for adoptive and foster families, to help ease the financial burden for adoptive families, and/or many other areas where MAA serves deserving children. So please – consider making a tax-deductible donation today, so that children around the world may have a chance for a brighter tomorrow.
