Have fun competing for prizes at the Active Adult Jigsaw Puzzle Contest set for 1 to 3 p.m., August 3 at the Plainfield Township Community Center. Each team puts together a 300-piece puzzle in the timed event. Contest is for all levels. Fee is $10/$15 for residents/non-residents.
Meet Author Anne Anderson and her famous therapy dog, Cubbie, 1:30 to 3 p.m., August 11 at the Plainfield Township Community Center. The pair are hosting a book signing for Anderson's latest children's book, "Cubbie the Therapy Dog." Copies will be available for $15 for paperback and $20 for hard cover. Paperback copies of "My Griefcase" also will be available for $5. Snacks and drinks also will be provided.

Three French Hens Country Market Trip
Jump on the bus to the Three French Hens Country Market in Morris which offers artisans, hand-crafted items, fresh produce, baked goods, antiques and more! Bus leaves at 8 a.m., August 13 from the Plainfield Township Community Center. Cost is $10/$25 for residents/non-residents.
Jump on the Park District bus for a lunch trip to Pilot Pete’s, a unique dining experience at the Schaumburg Regional Airport. Lunch is on your own. Register early. Maximum on the bus is 14!
