“Don’t Get Whacked by the WACs” (3.5 clock hours)
8:30am-Noon (check-in starts @ 8am).

Brokers should learn from recent DOL disciplinary trends and that inattention to detail is often a violation of law and the basis for license suspension.

Brokers will be advised of current DOL trends and reminded of the importance to adhere to state laws and regulation.
Annual Membership Meeting
& Lunch
Noon - 1:30pm
“Wow….What Just Happened?” (3.5 clock hours)
1:30pm-5:00pm

Holy smokes! Did you get the license plate off that bus?

Sometimes that is the way this industry feels.

In the last several years, issues of huge significance have rocked the peaceful foundation of our industry and created turbulence out of what many of us knew, for decades, to be still waters.

This class examines the most weighty and significant issues of the last 12 months and places them in perspective.

How do those issues affect brokers in their day-to-day sales?

What can brokers do to avoid problems created by recent statutory case law?

Sometimes, understanding the underpinnings of a problem can make the solution more manageable.

This class studies current issues and problems and reveals the most effective solutions and strategies in easy-to-understand language.

RPR’s Latest Release:
A Refreshed Version of the
Property Details Page
Here’s the big reveal!

Right off the bat you’ll notice that the new layout offers better “at a glance” visibility to key property information.

That’s because we’ve taken the Property Summary and Basic Facts information and moved it right next to the property photo.

By moving these details right alongside the media viewer, you’ll no longer have to scroll down to view this important information. (This was a big “ask” from many of our users!).

Putting the Basic Facts and quick links to valuation info right next to the property photo(s) is a strategic workflow improvement that helps you see more with less effort.

Wire Fraud & Real Estate
Devastatingly effective wire fraud scams are becoming more and more common in real estate transactions.

Sophisticated hackers are monitoring client and/or broker email accounts and waiting for a window to steal monies from your clients.

The scammers convincingly impersonate the broker or escrow agent, and then send messages urging the clients to wire funds to fake accounts set up by the scammers.

The clients are left with no recourse to recover the stolen funds.

Are you prepared to protect yourself and your clients?

Washington REALTORS® in cooperation with the NWMLS, the Department of Licensing, Department of Financial Institutions and the Office of the Insurance Commissioner have created a Fraud Alert letter to educate brokers and consumers about this widespread but preventable fraud scheme.

Effective June 1, 2022, the WA Department of Licensing (DOL) implemented SB 5378. This bill requires ALL Brokers and Managing Brokers to take a Fair Housing class. This is part of the required 30-hour continuing education instruction.

All REALTORS® licensed before 6/1/2022 need to have this class before 6/1/2023, per DOL guidelines.

The first active renewal after June 1st, 2022, must include the 6-hour Washington Real Estate Fair housing class. With every renewal afterward, licensees must complete a 3-hour course.

The purpose of this course is to introduce real estate brokers and managing brokers to the federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. 3601 et seq.) and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (chapter 49.60 RCW) as it relates to real estate transactions.
The course will teach real estate brokers and managing brokers the historical and societal context of housing discrimination, legal framework intended to prevent housing discrimination, and steps to take to prevent housing discrimination.
