Last Blog of the Summer
What a nice weekend! Meetings typically slow down a bit in the summer, so we decamped to the beach on Thursday evening. While Friday was terribly hot, humid and a bit rainy, the rest of the weekend has been postcard perfect. As we are gearing up for our EAC meeting in September, I have spent a lot of time reviewing CCSG sections, and we are about to have some joint writing sessions with the lead writers for each CCSG component. Meanwhile, I have spent a lot of time getting my CCSG Director’s Overview presentation in shape. There is still a lot of work to do, but I am very excited about the story we have to tell. Also, I’m very pleased by the U.S. News ranking announced last week that places the cancer care provided by MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Georgetown Lombardi in the top 50 cancer centers in the country.
