Tami Christopher Named Next Principal of Da Vinci Connect High and Da Vinci Extension

Dear Da Vinci Connect TK-12 Families,

I write to you today with the happy yet bittersweet news that Tami Christopher will be leaving her current position at Da Vinci Connect TK-8 and will assume the role of principal of Da Vinci Connect High and Da Vinci Extension, effective July 1, 2022.

Tami has served as Assistant Principal at Da Vinci Connect TK-8 since February 2021 where she has been instrumental in our growth in Universal Design for Learning practices and equitable experiences for all students. Tami began her teaching career in high school education. Prior to Da Vinci, Tami served as a History teacher, then the Assistant Principal/Director of Admissions and Attendance at Palisades Charter High School.

Tami is excited to re-enter the high school space and is well-prepared to pick up the great work already taking place at Connect High and DVX. She has a strong background in hybrid learning and knows the Connect culture well. She will work closely with Michelle Rainey, the Executive Director of Connect TK-12, and Marc Pioch who will remain a part of the Da Vinci Connect family as a consultant.

Tami was selected to serve as the next principal of Connect High and DVX after a rigorous process that included a variety of school stakeholders, including students, parents and staff. To ensure a smooth transition of leadership, Michelle, Marc and Tami will visit all Connect High classes on Monday and Tuesday to introduce Tami to the students.

The next order of business for Tami and Connect TK-8 Principal Kaitlin Toon is to lead a thoughtful process to hire two amazing assistant principals to fill the positions at Da Vinci Connect TK-8 and Da Vinci Connect High.

We are excited to work with Tami in this new capacity. Connect High and DVX are well-poised for continued success.

Please feel free to contact me at any time. I can be reached at mwunder@davincischools.org.

With gratitude,

Matthew Wunder, Ed.D.
CEO/Superintendent
