We would like to take a moment to say thank you. Our annual Backpack Kids fundraiser is off to an incredible start thanks to our supporters whose generosity is going to directly impact the lives of local children. Every donation is used to purchase food for summer meals, gift cards for clothing, lunchboxes, water bottles, sporting equipment, and so much more for students in need. We're a third of the way to our goal of $50,000.

Thank goodness for your generous support and our local farms! The cost of food has gone up dramatically for our clients, as well as for us. We have been able to keep up with the increased demand for our help by giving more fresh fruits and vegetables generously donated to us by HAPCO Farms, Share the Harvest, Amber Waves, Green Thumb and Bridge Lane Farms.

In addition to a week's worth of fruits and vegetables, your donations allow us to purchase and distribute non-perishables, dairy products, and frozen meat.

So far this month, we have served 1228 people, 250 more than July 2021. We continue to see our neighbors struggle to get by with the rising cost of living. Your donation today will enable us to support those who rely on us week after week.
Our Assistance Program provides a safety net for those struggling to make ends meet, and works to ensure all children in our community have what they need to thrive. Here are but a few examples in July that demonstrate the impact this program makes on our community:

  • Provided scholarships for children to attend summer camp or recreation programs to keep them happy and busy all summer long

  • Covered a car repair for a low-income family

  • Helped a family of 7 relocate to an area that is more affordable and register their kids for school

  • Purchased a new stove for a local family

  • Arranged medical transportation for a new mother to take her baby to doctor's appointments

  • Plus so much more for seniors, veterans, cancer patients, and others going through a hard time.

To support this service...
Thursday, August 11th is our beach party Moonlit Plunge at Cooper's Beach in Southampton. Get your tickets today to join us for the evening, plunge or no plunge.

It's going to be a blast with DJ, drinks, bonfire, s'mores, games for kids, and all of us together!

Your donations to our Backpack Kids program went right to purchasing $5,000 in gift cards for local students to be able to purchase back-to-school clothes and shoes.

Tanger Outlets generously waived all activation fees, and gave our families coupon books so they could buy even more.
