With Aggies conducting activities across Utah State University, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a series of talks in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of the First World War.

Welcome, Marissa Baird!
Marissa Baird from the USU College of Science Business Services Team
We are excited to welcome Marissa Baird to the College of Science Business Services team. Before joining our team in September, Marissa graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and served on the accounting team of a logistics company in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Marissa is service-oriented and has extensive experience in community engagement and education. A native of Hooper, Colorado, Marissa enjoys travelling and staying active with her husband, Kameron.

Science Unwrapped investigates the 'Cosmologic' scale with Physicist Tonya Triplett on Friday, October 26th at 7 p.m . in the Eccles Science Learning Center Emert Auditorium on campus. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Utah State University is one of 12 campuses in the United States and Canada selected by the American Physical Society to concurrently host the 2019 Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics , known as CUWiP, January 18-20. All undergraduate women interested in science are welcome to attend the three-day gathering, which will draw scholars from Utah, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Nebraska.

We encourage you to invite students to register . Registration is now open at https://conference.usu.edu/CUWiP/ and will close on October 12th.
Outside the Beaker - Science Podcast
As mentioned at the College of Science Fall 2018 Retreat, the USU Science Student Council is looking to interview faculty and staff members about their careers, research, and interests. Their upcoming podcast series, Outside the Beaker , will premier later this semester, and they're looking for more interviewees.
