On Thursday afternoon, Pastor Brandon and I attended a Luau at the church with the Wesleyan Workers Chapel Class. And when I say “attended,” I mean we were part of the entertainment! I’ve never seen a dance routine generate so much laughter …
As pastors, we end up doing all kinds of things that we never dreamed. Some of them are silly. Some are deadly serious. And all of them are undertaken in deep love for the Lord and His Church. As we walked in to dance and I heard the distinct giggles of our staff members (who had gathered in the hall to gawk), it occurred to me that there wasn’t a class in seminary on a lot of this stuff we do.
The most important thing we do is gather together in the Name of Jesus Christ for worship, prayer, and fellowship. I hope you will join us this Sunday at any one of our campuses to do just that!
