Attention All Drivers

We are seeing cars going across the front of the school building and then enter the south drive going the wrong way. Please, even if you get to school early, do not use the front drive. Go all the way around the building; going the opposite way will lead to an accident.

Stallions in the Spotlight

Mr. Garrick, Mrs. Mascarin and Mrs. Dufault, with their Family HR 209 hosted a March Madness Pop-a-Shot contest fundraiser during lunch periods last week. Congratulations to the top scorer in each lunch period: sophomore Ashton Boyd, sophomore Brian Granger, and senior Mitchell Arthur. They all received a Chipotle gift card. The overall champ, Mitchell, will challenge principal Mr. Garrick this week. Proceeds go to Star House, part of our Lenten service program.

Congratulations to junior Max Shulaw who was named Outstanding Wrestler of the 2023 Boys Division 2 State Tournament.

St. Francis DeSales High School Career Fair

On Wednesday, April 12, the SFD Guidance Department will be holding a career fair from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the SFD Gym. We are seeking parents to be a part of this event to share their career experiences and advice with St. Francis DeSales students. If you are interested in being a part of this event, please contact Sarah Evans at sevans@desales.co.

Parent Classroom Monitors Needed

We are reaching out with a request for parent volunteers to serve as classroom monitors for three of our classroom teachers who will be going on the upcoming Senior Kairos Retreat from April 3rd through the 5th. If you are able to help on any of these dates for a partial or full day, please utilize the sign-up tool below to indicate your willingness to assist. Furthermore, please reach out to Assistant Principal, Mr. Jim Jones, with any questions. We truly appreciate your consideration of this important volunteer activity. Keep in mind that in order to serve as a classroom monitor, individuals must have a valid BCI/FBI background check and have completed the Protecting God's Children Workshop.

Scholarship Listing for Graduation Program

Senior Parents - IMPORTANT

Please provide a copy of each and every scholarship letter your student is awarded from colleges/universities, even if your student is not attending that particular institution. This is VERY important for the graduation program which will list your student's name and also all the scholarships they've been awarded (minus the financial amount). Please have your student bring scholarship letters to Lisa Hoyer in the Student Service Center or email them to her (hoyer@desales.co) prior to the deadline of May 2nd.  Thank you.

Nurse's Notes

All junior students are required to submit verification of a second dose of the Meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) vaccine prior to the start of their senior year. It is a requirement for all incoming seniors in Ohio. Families can email the verification information to school nurse Kelli Fitzpatrick at fitzpatrick@desales.co or bring in a hard copy to school.

SICK POLICY: Please click here to review the guidelines we have in place to help keep our school safe and healthy.

Continued Prayers

Please continue to lift senior Liam Moran in prayer by signing up for an available time spot in the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Please click here to sign up.

As we continue to pray for Liam, we are also offering Our Lady of Lourdes prayer candles. The candles are available now in the main office (7:30am to 3:30pm) and in the Spirit Shop (10:15am to 12:45pm). We suggest a donation of $10 for the candle, with all proceeds going to the Moran family.

Spiritual Reflection

Father, Jesus your Son proclaimed your reign and embodied it in his intimacy with you and his generous self-sacrificing life. Be with us in our Lenten pilgrimage of faith. May our prayer, fasting, and repentance draw us ever more deeply into Christ’s example of oneness with you and kind attentiveness to others. Amen.
